What do you do when a favorite garment tears, frays, or gets stained?
Even if it’s damaged, a piece that carries precious memories and has developed a beautiful patina over time is something you still want to keep close. When you feel that way, care and repair naturally become part of the journey. That’s where our idea began.
As the maker, we know our products inside out—their patterns, construction, and materials.
So when damage occurs, we can share a “repair recipe” with you or, when appropriate, take the item in and repair it ourselves. We believe maintaining this kind of system is essential to responsible apparel design and production.
Now is the time to pause—and inherit wisely
Our GOP view on “repairs” starts with responsibility: just as we face environmental issues like the climate crisis, we first take responsibility for our own products.
We see repair and continued use as a shared responsibility—beyond “you the user” and “us the maker.” Together, as a “we,” we can honor and pass on the plant-based fibers gifted by nature through empathy and collaboration.
Repairs do cost real money—labor as well as shipping and logistics. Yet the system is worth sustaining. To support this, the GOP offers a community membership (monthly program). We appreciate your support.
